Technical Indicators

NextVIEW comes with a robust, comprehensive and customizable set of technical indicators. So, with a simple click of your mouse you'll be able to choose from 29 popular indicators and apply a Moving Average, Stochastic or a host of other common indicators to your chart. Use unique indicators like the Hull Moving Average, Guppy MMA and Ichimoku for an edge. You can easily change the parameters on the indicators and see the changes in real time on the charts! And after choosing a set of indicators, simply save them as a Chart Analysis Template for future use.

Market Filter

Market Filter or Stock Scanning is an advanced multi-symbol analysis and scanning tool that gives you the ability to scan the whole market for counters that meet you selection criteria.

Many Scanning Criteria — You can choose from scanning based on price movements like the close is higher than previous close, or technical criterion like RSI less than 30 or MACD crosses, and even fundamental criterion like dividend yield or beta.

Dynamic Ranking and Sorting — Market Filter dynamically ranks and sorts symbols in real-time based on your own custom sort criteria. Symbols are ranked relative to others based on the column heading you choose, given the criteria selected. E.g. sort by volume

Pre-Built Templates — After creating the different filters based on price, technical or fundamental criteria, Market Filter allows you to quickly change columns/sorting/ranking criteria by applying a combination of the filters with just a few mouse clicks...

This feature allows you to see the number of counters in the exchange that went up, down, unchanged and untraded. This lets you see with a glance the momentum of the market, whether there are more gainers or losers, or if the participation in the market is high.

This feature is a screen that shows the movement of stocks in the whole market. Period Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP)

The period VWAP is a feature that lets you calculate the volume weighted average price of any counter for any custom time interval (e.g., 9:30a.m to 3:16pm). This lets you know the average price of any time interval to gauge the best time to enter/exit the market.

Portfolio Management

Create your own portfolio windows and watch your individual positions and total portfolio value update in real time. The portfolio function includes an export function so it can easily be taken into Excel to help the user prepare for the tax or other reporting.

The column headings have the ability to add, delete and sort the fields.

Keep on top of the news with in-depth coverage from leading sources of news in Asia that may influence stock prices and movements.. NextVIEW's News window gives you full-text news stories gathered from some of the most respected sources, including Dow Jones News, AFX News, S&P Commentaries, ODJ Commodity News, The Nation Thai News and others, allowing you to follow events—as compiled and published by the news service provider.

News are delivered and sorted by news provider and news type, and you can open up multiple sub-windows to read the groups of news headlines. Clicking on the news shows you the full text, which you can print and export out to text documents.

A powerful search feature allows you to search for the news that matters to you most by symbol, keywords (such as "Dividends"), or Dates. It even allows you to set news alerts.

Time and Sales

The Time & Sales window lets you track bids, asks and trades in real-time. It brings you inside the stocks and futures markets you trade by giving you a color-coded view of the bid, ask and trade volume in real-time and for the past 600 days. The window also shows the Time, Type, Price, and volume of each tick. Color coding offers you greater ease when scanning historical trade data by letting you see whether a trade is above the ask, at the ask, between the ask & bid, at the bid or below the bid.

Trade Summary Window

The trade summary window is a panel beside the quotes that shows you the tick chart, volume distribution and time and sales for any stock or futures counter. Having a panel to give you additional information helps you to better gauge the movement of the selected counter. The window can be displayed or hidden based on your needs.

Trade Distribution window

The transaction distribution window shows all the trades done for a particular counter at every price level, and broken down into whether the transaction was a buy up from the sell queue or a sell down to a buy queue. The data is also presented graphically for easy interpretation. You can choose to view from the last 5 minutes, 60 minutes, the current day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days and 20 days of information. Check for the trade weighted average price at the bottom left of the window.

Watchlist

Watchlist is a feature that displays real time streaming prices and information like bid, ask, volume, open, high, low, close and many other fields. You can view Pre-Defined Watchlist which have already been created based on criterion like volume and price. For example, Top 40 volume Top 40 gainer, Top 40 loser, RSI > 70 and many more.

You can also create your own watchlist with your list of stocks to watch and have alerts set on individual stocks.

Volume Distribution

The Volume Distribution Window shows all the total volume done for a particular counter at every price level, and broken down into whether the trades donw was a buy up from the sell queue or a sell down to a buy queue. The data is also presented graphically for easy interpretation. You can choose to view from the last 5 minutes, 60 minutes, the current day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days and 20 days of information. Check for the volume weighted average price at the bottom left of the window. Use the Period VWAP to see the average price for a customized time period.
